1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Away Game ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. Away Game is operated by Away Game ("we", "us", "our").

2. Description of Service

Away Game is a platform for discovering and sharing information about sports fields and recreation centers. Users can browse locations, contribute field notes, upload photos, annotate facility maps, and participate in a gamification system (Field Coins, badges, leaderboard).

3. User Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you represent that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agrees to these terms on your behalf.

4. User-Generated Content

You retain ownership of content you submit (photos, field notes, annotations). By submitting content, you grant Away Game a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute your content within the Service. You represent that you have the right to share any content you upload and that it does not violate any third-party rights.

We reserve the right to remove content that violates these terms, is inaccurate, misleading, or harmful. Content moderation is at our sole discretion.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Submit false, misleading, or spam content
• Upload photos you do not have the right to share
• Harass, threaten, or impersonate other users
• Attempt to access admin features or other users' accounts
• Scrape, crawl, or bulk-download data from the Service
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service's infrastructure

6. Field Coins & Virtual Items

Field Coins, badges, titles, frames, and other virtual items have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for cash, gift cards, or any form of currency. We may modify, reset, or discontinue the virtual economy at any time. Virtual items are non-transferable between accounts.

7. Account Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, engage in abusive behavior, or at our discretion. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your profile data will be removed, but content you contributed (field notes, photos) may remain on the platform in anonymized form.

8. Third-Party Data

Some facility information is sourced from third parties including Google Places, OpenStreetMap, and public records. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of this data. Field conditions, hours, and amenities may change without notice. Always verify conditions before visiting a facility.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, accuracy of information, or that the Service will meet your specific needs. Use of facility information is at your own risk.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Away Game shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim (if any).

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
